SERVICE MINISTRY

We value hands-on opportunities to grow in our faith and discipleship, so that we can experience being the hands and feet of our Savior.

Servant Events:

Bethesda South Gate:
On the 3rd Sunday of every month our youth conduct a worship service for the residents at Bethesda South Gate. 

            DATES:

Summer Servant Event Opportunities:

Youth Service Days in St. Louis: Summer 2008
:
Each week in June our Jr. and Sr. Youth will have opportunities to serve the people in St. Louis with the love of Jesus Christ. Here is our summer schedule. If you are interested please sign up on the sign-up sheets in the commons or email Christina at youth@peacelutheranstl.org

Jr. Youth
June 3: Nurses for Newborns

    Join us from 9:30-2:00 as we work together to sort and hang baby clothes and organize supplies to be given out to moms in need. Bring $5 for lunch.

June 10: Orphan Grain Train
    Join us from 9:00-2:00. We will work together to sort and box food and clothing to be shipped around the world to those in need. Bring $5 for lunch.

June 24: Baskets of Hope
    Join us from 9:00-2:00 as we put together fun baskets of toys for children diagnosed with Cancer. Bring $5 for lunch.

Sr. Youth
June 5: Habitat for Humanity
    
Join us between 8:00-3:00 as we work together to build a home for a family in need. Bring a lunch.

June 12: Worth
    Join us from 8:30-3:00 as we work work with mentally challenged adults at a sheltered workshop. Lunch will be provided.

June 26: Ronald McDonald's House Family Room at Children's Hospital
    Join us from 4:30-8:00 as we provide dinner and entertainment for families visiting children in the hospital.

Youth Servant Events:
Our 7th-12th grade youth have the opportunity this summer to attend TeenServe in Pickford, Michigan. During July 5-13 we will join 400 other youth in this small town and we will revive it with the love of Jesus. Each day will include a time of serving that you may do with a paint brush or hammer in your hand, plus, devotions, great food, free time and an awesome, totally cool evening program. You will never be the same after experiencing so much during this weeklong event. For more information visit teenserve.org
